There was a place near my home town that we called Beach Rock. Beach Rock is a cliff in the woods that overlooks a reservoir. People visit this location for many reasons. It offers a beautiful view and it is relatively private so its visitors run the gamut from seasonal leaf peepers to those engaging in more illicit or intimate behavior. It is a rock, but not an actual beach. This photograph features both beach and rocks, and it reminds me of Beach Rock.
